28.03.2017: Day 1 Praan Pratistha

Jai Shree Krishna. Jai Gurudev.

We had a fantastic opening to this beautiful 5 day long ceremony!

Starting with an obeissance to Ganesh Bhagawan, we then journeyed on to the Kalash Yatra Ceremony and brought in water collected from various temples around Malaysia for the Praan Pratishta.

This was then followed by an Abhishegam of miniature versions of the 5 main moorthis that will be installed on Saturday, culminating with a Havan.

Still no preview of the Moorthis yet, but we are realllllllly excited! We hear they are all in beautiful marble… and oh how we miss our Radha Krishna and yearn to see them! ❤

Here are some pictures from today!

Prayers To Ganesh Bhagawan

Kalash Yatra Ceremony – All the ladies carrying holy water into the Geeta Ashram.

Havan being initiated by the main Yajmaan – the donors of the Moorthis. Everyone else who was present then participated in the Havan.

4 more days to go – we are hoping for a sneak peak of the moorthis tomorrow 😉

Look forward to having all of you join us for the next few days!

Praan Pratishta 2017

JSK. JGD.

Our Praan Pratishta ceremony kicks off tomorrow!

Most times, when one visits a temple or an ashram, the deities are already in place.

It is truly a rare opportunity to be able to witness the auspicious ceremony of deities being installed..

Geeta Ashram Malaysia has undergone some major renovations, and it’s now time for our beloved Radha Krishna moorti to be re-installed into our new prayer hall. Additionally, there will be the installation of a new moorti of our beloved Swamiji as well as other deities – Durga Mata, Hanumanji and Ganesh Bhagawan.

We would like to welcome each and everyone to join us for these 5 day celebrations 🙂

Kalash Yatra 28.03.2017

The kalash yatra is a sacred and auspicious ritual where pure water is carried in a kalash/pot to be offered for consecration at a temple. The priest sanctifies the offering with invocations calling for blessings from all the deities before use in the rituals and abhisheka to follow. The kalash when filled with water is known as purnakumbha representing the inert body which when filled with the divine life force gains the power to do all the wonderful things that makes life what it is. The water in the kalash symbolizes the primordial waters of the milky ocean from which the entire creation emerged.
This auspicious ceremony is being held in Geeta Ashram Malaysia on 28.03.2017 @ 0800H. We are looking for 108 ladies and young girls to carry the Kalash – and our list is filling up really fast! If you would like to be a part of this opportunity of a lifetime – please give your names and contact details to Mdm Usha +60133939858
Look forward to seeing all of you there.

Ashok’s Bhagavad Geeta Retreat 2016: a reflection

bg-retreat-001

I had arrived early for Ashok’s Retreat. Standing alone, facing the beach, the refreshing sea breeze, the enchanting turquoise water and the sparkling reflections of the sun on the water made me go back in time………. 5,000 years ago to recollect the 1st verse of the Geeta. All 33 of us, assembled on this sacred field of Port Dickson! I knew this sovereign secret expounded the constant conflict of good over the bad in me. With hope, I headed back for Ashok’s lectures.

The 3 days were filled with plenty of love, fun, joy, laughter, fellowship, sravanam, mananam, discussions with like-minded friends, yoga, quiz, games and good food.

I returned to the exact beach spot where I stood before the Retreat on that breezy sunny Sunday morning. I flipped the pages to the last verse of the Geeta. ‘Wherever there is Krsna, the Lord of Yoga and Partha, the archer, assured is there prosperity, victory, glory and sound policy; this is my conviction’

How true I thought to myself, reflecting on the 3 days with Ashok.
